So I’ve been working here for about four weeks now, and I’ve gotten to know the personalities of my coworkers fairly well. Scrolling away at the computer to my right sits Mia. She’s titled the SEO Consultant and definitely makes my job more enjoyable with her bubbly personality at my side. So I thought, why not feature her on this blog? Let’s get to know Mia.
Cindy: So how long have you been working here?
Mia: I’ve been here for two months, and I love it!
Cindy: That’s good to hear! What makes you stay here at KaKyCo and Sun Yorkos?
Mia: I love hats more than furniture [my old job]. I’m a hat person. And I stay here because I love the people I work with! I love my manager Alex because I like her work ethic. I’m a workaholic so we match! I like my other manager James, too. He’s very creative, and everyday he gives me a different project. I don’t want to do the same thing everyday. I like my coworker Scott because he’s so happy and he’s a good teacher. I call him Shi Fu, that’s master in Chinese, because he teaches me alot of things. And I like you, Cindy, because you are young and I like hanging out with young people because they make ME feel young.
Cindy: Aw thanks!
Mia: I like Tico because he is very patient and teaches me to take your time. I need to relax, and I need to learn how to enjoy my life. I never take the one hour lunch break because if I don’t use my energy I don’t even know what to do with myself! I like Hung Hui. She’s very nice and teaches me. She’s very intelligent. I like Feng, our designer. She is very creative, even though she can get a little strict at time. Her experience here has been really interesting I’ve heard.
Cindy: That’s so great that you love your job so much. So what is your overall opinion on hats?
Mia: My mom love hats, so I’m influenced from her. I love hats!
Cindy: Thanks so much… can you leave our readers with a recommendation or piece of fashion advice?
Mia: I’m still studying you know. Just trying to follow more designers or millinery workers on Instagram to get an idea of the recent trends. That’s what I do every day. Oh and check Pinterest to get some more ideas! *gets interrupted by someone* oh, is that hat for me?
And there you have an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with Mia Meng. She’s one of the most candid people I’ve ever met; you can count on her to give you an honest word. She’s inspired me to work hard and love this company, too. It’s kind and passionate people like her that make up the foundation of this company and allow it to keep providing high-quality headpieces for many more years to come.
Mia is a lover of all hats, so instead of selecting some of her favorites, here are a couple that we tried on together that I happened to especially enjoy:
